Description

The dunes, the surf, that special kind of relaxation – planting Sea Oats in your garden brings it all home. This slow-growing perennial grass is crucial along the upper shoreline to help control dune erosion. In your yard, Sea Oats provides an atmospheric accent.

Sea Oats can grow from 5 to 6 ft. tall, with leaves up to 24” in length. These taper towards their ends, and are often brown and curled. Sea Oats love full sun, and are drought tolerant. They thrive in salty air and in moist, well drained sandy soil.
