Description
The Classic Symbol of the South
The Live Oak can survive for centuries, and is beautiful at every stage of its long life. It’s the ultimate shade tree and a wonderful wildlife habitat. If planted the correct distance from a house, the tree will actually act as a windbreak, and help protect your home from hurricane damage.
The Live Oak is known for its massive limbs and dark glossy green leaves. Its wood is dense and heavy. In fact, during the War of 1812, cannon balls bounced off the sides of “Old Ironsides,” the USS Constitution” Yes, it was built from wood from the Live Oak.
For the best growth, the cold-hardy Live Oak needs well-drained moist soil or sand, full sun and room to spread its wings.

Very impressed with customer service. PlantVine sends pics of plants before they ship and follow up after shipment also. Can’t ask for anything better!

Hi! Can I have this as an indoor tree inside a pot or is it an outdoor plant only? I’m looking for an indoor tree for my sunroom. Thanks!
